Our Explorers programs focus on Victoria with the first series explaining the discovery , exploration and first settlements in Port Phillip and Western Port. We commence with the proposition that the Portuguese may have been the first and then move to the conventional and accepted version of James Grant in His Majesty’s Brig, Lady Nelson.

The series goes into detail about the attempts at exploring the two major ports, examining motivations for settlement and perceived threats from foreign European powers.

There are many programs in this series and it is important to view them numerically to gain an understanding of the time and context when these events occurred.

Each program will be available in an MP3 and some are in MP4 Podcasting mode, but remember Youtube presentations will not have sophisticated graphics to accompany the program.
